What is Claude Cowork?

Claude Cowork is an AI desktop agent built into the Claude app. Think of it as 'Claude Code for everyone else'—it can autonomously organize your Downloads folder, turn scattered notes into formatted documents, process receipts into expense reports, or batch rename hundreds of files. You give it access to a folder, describe what you want, and it works independently while you do other things. It runs in a secure sandbox so it can't accidentally break your system.
